“All our dreams can come true- if we have the courage to pursue them” - Walt Disney, 1901-1966, Cartoon Artist and Producer Sometimes a few words have more impact than a whole book. This is why this month, we are recommending the following link. A big thank you to Susan Pearl, one of our subscribers, for sending us this wonderful link. If you liked last month link http://www.mayyoubeblessedmovie.com/, you can thank Susan for this one as well. Lightworks for Well Being is about well being in every aspect of our life. This is why we also want you to view the following link: http://video.sheriff.org/psa_cartheft.shtml. This link is a short movie that helps us be more aware of our surroundings and increase our safety. Thank you to Patricia Milland, another one of our subscribers, for sharing this link with us Do you know where you’ll be in 2008? Wow! … Can you believe that we are already half way through January … Do you still have that feeling that 2007 will be everything you want it to be? You’ll be wiser, richer, healthier, more organized … You’ll accomplish every thing you’ve declared you want to accomplish! For some of us, the original euphoria of a brand new beginning has already started to wane. After all, the “life obligations” that we all have have not disappeared just because we were full of aspirations and inspiration a mere 3 weeks ago! And we resign ourselves that 2007 will be another year with resolutions and goals gone to the wayside … There’s always 2008, right? But isn’t what you told yourself last year, same time? Now, go back to December 31, 2006 or January 1, 2007 or whenever you felt that surge of excitement about everything you were going to accomplish. Could you see yourself fit? Could you see yourself less those 10 pounds? Could you see your basement organized? Could you see all your goals and resolutions achieved? Although we may already have lost that powerful feeling of being able to do anything we’ve set our minds to do, we can regain that feeling and we can be re-inspired. What we need to do along with setting our goals is writing a vision of what it will look like, feel like when we accomplish our goals. As a matter of fact, we need to begin with a vision of what we would like to be/have/do on December 31, 2007. And yes, we need to write it down. So imagine for a moment that the genie in the bottle, the one who can grant you any desire you have, asks you what is important for you and what you want to accomplish in 2007. Allow yourself to feel it as if it had already happened … then write it down. Unfortunately, the simple action of writing down your intentions for the year is not enough. Although that action is stronger than only declaring what your intentions are for the New Year, there is still something missing. What’s missing is the fuel required to keep your inspiration alive. And that fuel is generated by reviewing your vision regularly. So invest some time every day or every other day to reconnect with your vision, to reconnect with that wonderful, energizing feeling you felt when you allowed yourself to imagine how powerful you are in accomplishing your goals and intentions. Treat this practice as something sacred, just as important as brushing your teeth, and stay in that wonderful feeling. You’ll be amazed how motivated AND inspired you are in accomplishing what really matters to you. Dreams do Come True …But it is up to you!!! How many of you have watched the movie, The Secret? Don’t you love the Genie who says … “Your Wish is my Command?” Wouldn’t we all love to have a Magic Lamp? The good news is we all do have a Magic Lamp … and much, much more! Now some may be thinking, “Balderdash! I want a new car, a new house … even a pair of new shoes … and, looking at my bankbook, it is impossible.” As long as words like “balderdash” and “impossible” are in our vocabulary, we are going to be absolutely right about what cannot be. Negativity will coat our Magic Lamp with a layer of grime so thick, it will seem impossible to rub through the muck to release our Genie!!! “Ok”, we say “I will get rid of all the ‘negatives’ in my vocabulary! But I still don’t believe in a Genie that is going to grant my every wish.” Once again, we will be 100% correct. As long as we do not believe, we will not receive! Faith is a key factor in attracting what we desire into our lives. ‘If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed … nothing shall be impossible unto you.” These words emanated from a highest source of truth, yet, we, of little faith, do not really believe them. As we continue along our path, immersed in and verbalizing our disbelief, our Genie becomes very, very cramped inside our Magic Lamp as it gathers an ever thickening layer of dust sitting upon the shelf … until … one day, we become very, very cramped inside our limited thoughts! We try to stretch a little … first one arm, then the other … “ohhhh … impossible”. There’s that word again, and we hit up against our wall of self limits. Ouch. Painful. We sit back down, arms folded across our chest in resolute resignation. “I doubt I can do this”, we say, as lack of faith envelopes us once again. How absolutely - how completely - dreary!!! A part of us wants to wither away, but a part of us screams to the Cosmos, “No way … I have not yet begun to live!” Again we stretch, but this time not just a gentle stretch – we stretch with force, with purpose, with fists clenched as they hit our wall of self limitation! CRRRACK … we break through our wall of disbelief! Glorious light pours through the jagged edges of the opening, as we breath in sweet fresh air from the other side! Arms resolute with purpose and pulsing with life, unconquerable now, we break open the wall and cross to the other side! “So THIS is life!” we say with blissful joy. The fragrance of a million blossoms wafts through the air and songbirds sing sweet welcome to us! We are home, sweet home. As we gaze toward our feet … what to our eyes does appear? A most beautiful, brilliantly sparkling Magic Lamp … lid ajar! And from high above us come the words, ever strong; ever clear … “Your Wish is My Command.” Believe. What is holding you back from your going after your dreams?
